Yaweilang Optoelectronics Hangzhou Bay LED chip project officially put into operation

The four LED chip production lines of the first phase of the LED epitaxial wafer production project of Yaweilang Optoelectronics (China) Co., Ltd. located in the LED Industrial Park of Hangzhou Bay, Zhejiang Province were officially put into production. It is expected that the output of the epitaxial wafer will reach 400 pieces per day after the production. Will reach 5 million.

Yaweilang Optoelectronics (China) Co., Ltd. was formerly known as AXT Company of the United States. The Hangzhou Bay LED epitaxial wafer project invested about 87.84 million US dollars. It officially started construction in June 2009. By the end of June 2010, Yaweilang Optoelectronics had invested 388 million yuan in project construction and built a production workshop of 20,000 square meters.

The company is currently working on the operation of the second phase of the project. The second phase of the project is based on the original plant and is based on equipment investment. It is planned to build more than 10 production lines by the end of 2010. After the project is completed, the annual output can reach 360,000 epitaxial wafers and 5 billion chips.
