R30 floodlights are widely used in commercial, industrial, sales, educational and hospitality lighting and are the most widely used bulbs today. Lighting Science's LEDR30 floodlights utilize optimized digital lighting (ODL) technology for indoor and outdoor in-line lights and other fixtures that use standard spiral bases.

This LED floodlight has been tested by the Independent Laboratory of Light Laboratory in Orange, Calif., compared to the 65 watt natural light R30 incandescent lamp. The LED floodlight has a luminous flux of 483 lumens at 128 lm (36 lm). /W), 488 lumens per light for 65.7 watts of incandescent light.

The other two advantages of the ODL floodlights are also demonstrated in the experiment: ODL floodlights have a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours, while incandescent lamps have a rated life of only 2,500 hours and require 20 bulbs to maintain 50,000 hours; The total operating cost of floodlights is 70% less than incandescent lamps.

According to Lighting Science, assuming an incandescent lamp retail price of $7.99 and an LED floodlight of $90, LED floodlights can save $70 on lamp purchases. The LED floodlights save $260 a year (assuming $0.10 per kWh), plus a $70 purchase, which saves $330. Not only saves energy, but also reduces the cost of repairing and replacing the bulb. If this LED bulb is used in a large amount, the energy saving effect will be more obvious.

Lighting Science will begin mass production in June this year, with warm white, daylight, cool white, and amber (small flashing lights). Test samples will be ordered soon.
