Philips, a global leader in lighting solutions, is set to start production at its new LED lighting factory in Chengdu, China, in September 2023. The factory, which is located in the western campus of the Chengdu High-tech Industrial Development Zone, is Philips’ second headquarters in China and a strategic investment to support the Western China Development Strategy.
The Philips Chengdu LED Lighting Factory is a fully integrated manufacturing facility for LED professional luminaires, covering an area of about 40,000 square meters and with an investment of EUR 25 million2. The factory is equipped with the most cutting-edge LED technology and production lines, and will produce a wide range of LED lighting products for various applications, such as office, retail, hospitality, industrial, and outdoor lighting.
The factory will also house the Philips Lighting Application Center, which is the largest lighting exhibition center in Asia, covering an area of over 7,000 square meters1. The center will showcase Philips’ innovative lighting solutions and provide a platform for customers, partners, and industry experts to exchange ideas and insights on lighting design, technology, and trends.
