Japanese factory Sharp's new LED driver can drive 120 LED lights, expected to be mass production at the end of October

April 30, 2023
Recently, the Japanese factory Sharp said that the large-size LCD panel LED backlight LED driver "IR2E65U" that can drive 120 LED lights will be delivered from October 1, 2009. The sample price is 250 yen, and will be Mass production began on October 30, with an estimated monthly production of 600,000.

It is reported that the input voltage range of this LED driver is 3.0-3.6V, the output current is 15-70mA/ch, the maximum output voltage is 45V, the operating temperature is -30~85 degrees, and the size is 7.2x7.2x0.9mm. By miniaturizing the transistor, the LED driver can control up to 10ChannEL (Sharp current product is up to 8Channel), and each channel can drive 12 in-line LED lamps, so the total number of LEDs that can be driven can be increased to the current (refer to Sharp current) The product is 1.25 times to 120, which reduces the number of LED drivers used in the backlight by about 20%. In addition, the LED driver can support local dimming technology, which can adjust the brightness of the LEDs of individual channels, thereby improving the contrast of the liquid crystal display and achieving energy saving effect.
