Anti-Blue Light technology effectively reduces harmful blue light on LED screen

July 17, 2023

The monitor manufacturer AOC AOC has developed a new technology to prevent users from being exposed to the short-wave blue light emitted by the LED screen and being damaged. This technology is called Anti-Blue Light and will be used to protect users of LED displays. AOC said that the technology can effectively reduce the harmful short-wavelength blue light emitted by LED backlight panels by up to 90%, without adding any filters or other devices. Using this technique will not cause distortion or color deviation of the display effect. TPV plans to use this technology in its 76V series displays.

Because nowadays, users spend a lot of time every day to touch the display screen of smart phones or laptops. The short wavelength blue light (380-450 nm) emitted by LED backlight has been proved to be harmful to personal health, such as macular degeneration. Anti-Blue Light technology developed by AOC can effectively reduce harmful short-wave blue light emitted by LED screens, and maintain an undistorted display effect.
